Non-Invasive or Invasive Aesthetics Course: Which Is Right for You?

The right aesthetics course depends mainly on your qualification. Here is how the Non-Invasive and Invasive courses at French Aesthetics Academy compare.

Your qualification decides which course you can join. The Invasive course is only for PMDC-registered MBBS and BDS doctors. The Non-Invasive course is open to beauty professionals and beginners, with no experience or PMDC registration needed.

Who can join the Non-Invasive course

This course suits people who work in beauty or want to start in it, including salon owners, beauticians, makeup artists, hair stylists, nail technicians, skin care specialists and cosmetology students. Beginners and career changers are welcome too, because training starts from the basics.

You learn skills such as facials, BB Glow, chemical peels, HIFU, laser hair removal, skin analysis and client consultation. See the Non-Invasive Aesthetics Course for the full details.

Who can join the Invasive course

This course is for doctors: house officers, medical officers, GPs, dentists, clinic owners and doctors returning after a career break. You must hold an MBBS or BDS degree and be PMDC registered, and admissions check this before your place is confirmed.

Training covers facial anatomy, patient assessment, fillers, PDO threads, PRP, skin boosters and complication management. Timing is flexible for doctors. See the Invasive Aesthetics Course for Doctors.

What both courses share

  • 3 weeks in total: 1 week of training, then a 2-week supervised internship.
  • The internship is included at no extra fee.
  • A maximum of 20 seats in each batch.
  • A dermatologist-led team, at the academy of a working clinic.

The biggest difference is the internship work

On the Non-Invasive course, your internship is on live clients, supervised by doctors. On the Invasive course, doctors perform procedures themselves on real patients during a clinical internship, under supervision. In both courses, every step is supervised.

When batches start

Non-Invasive batches start on the 15th of every month and Invasive batches on the 20th. There is no training on Sundays, so a Sunday start moves to Monday. You can see the dates on the batch calendar.

How to choose

If you are not a PMDC-registered MBBS or BDS doctor, choose the Non-Invasive course. If you are, choose the course that matches the work you want to do, and ask admissions on WhatsApp if you are unsure. They can also share the current fee and class timing.
